Adding SiriusXM Travel Link after upgrading SYNC 3 with Navigation
If you intend to subscribe to SiriusXM Travel Link, simply indicate to the SiriusXM agent that your vehicle has been retrofitted with navigation. Some agents who are uninformed may insist that they cannot activate SiriusXM Travel Link on your particular vehicle. Simply ask them to escalate the request to tier 2 technical support. The tier 2 support team has the ability to add the option for Travel Link to your vehicle's VIN in their system so that the agent can then "check the box” and add it to your account. They can be difficult to get through these steps and you may have to call back to get someone different but it will always be successful.
